Pultruded Profiles

In many projects, GRP pultruded profiles are ordered based on section size, span requirement and price. What is not always verified is whether the material actually meets recognised structural and compliance standards.

Carbon and Lifecycle

As carbon reporting becomes mandatory across major infrastructure and commercial projects, material selection is no longer just about strength, durability or cost. It is about embodied carbon, lifecycle performance and verified environmental data.

Palisade, Mesh and Frangible

GRP fencing is often chosen for its corrosion resistance, electrical non conductivity and long service life. Fencing installed in exposed environments must withstand wind loading, impact forces and long term mechanical stress.

Handrails & Grating Loading Compliance

GRP handrails must meet horizontal load requirements suitable for pedestrian and industrial use. GRP grating must be engineered to handle imposed loads, point loads, and span conditions specific to its installation environment.

Rebar Performance Data

When chlorides and moisture reach embedded steel, oxidation begins. Expansion follows. Concrete cracks. Structural performance reduces. Repair budgets grow. In aggressive environments, traditional steel rebar can become a structural concern in as little as 15–25 years.

2026 GRP Fire Ratings

BS 476-7 was withdrawn from Approved Document B of the Building Regulations. For GRP profiles and grating used in UK construction, that changes everything. BS 476-7 measured surface flame spread only. It did not assess heat release. It did not measure smoke production. It did not evaluate flaming droplets. EN 13501-1 does.
