Pultruded GRP solid rod produced using continuous E glass fibre reinforcement within an isophthalic polyester resin matrix. With a 9.5mm diameter, this rod offers a balance of strength, rigidity and low weight alongside excellent electrical insulation and corrosion resistance. Its solid composite structure ensures dependable mechanical performance in environments where steel or aluminium rods would be affected by moisture, chemicals or electrical exposure.
Regularly used in industrial and electrical environments as a non conductive rod for spacing, reinforcement and support within assemblies where safety and insulation are essential. The rod is well suited to use in equipment frames, brackets and structural elements where metal alternatives introduce performance or compliance risks.
Well suited to outdoor and exposed settings including coastal installations, agricultural equipment and infrastructure projects where resistance to weathering, UV exposure and corrosion is required. Its maintenance free nature supports long service life in locations with limited access for upkeep.
Also applied in fabrication, fencing systems, mechanical assemblies and bespoke engineered components where a slightly larger diameter rod is required without the weight or conductivity of metal. The rod can be easily cut, drilled and machined using standard tools for efficient installation.
