GRP rod 7.9mm diameter 6m long

Pultruded GRP solid rod manufactured from continuous E glass fibre reinforcement combined with an isophthalic polyester resin system. With a 7.9mm diameter, this slim profile rod provides excellent tensile performance, electrical insulation and resistance to corrosion while remaining extremely lightweight. Its consistent, void free construction delivers reliable dimensional stability, making it well suited to precision applications where metallic rods would introduce conductivity, corrosion or unnecessary weight.

Commonly used in electrical and electronic assemblies as an insulating pin, spacer or reinforcing element where small diameter, non conductive components are required. The rod performs well in control systems, instrumentation mounts and compact mechanical assemblies where accuracy and reliability are critical.

Frequently specified in marine, laboratory and outdoor environments for guide rods, supports and lightweight bracing exposed to moisture, humidity or chemical contact. Its resistance to environmental degradation allows long term use without surface treatment or maintenance.

Also utilised in model engineering, fabrication, display systems and bespoke engineering projects where ease of machining and consistent material performance are important. The rod can be cut, drilled and machined using standard workshop tools.
