GRP rod 12.7mm diameter 6m long

Pultruded GRP solid rod manufactured using continuous E glass fibre reinforcement combined with an isophthalic polyester resin system. With a 12.7mm diameter, this solid fibreglass rod offers high tensile strength, excellent electrical insulation and long term resistance to corrosion, moisture and chemical exposure. Its uniform construction provides consistent mechanical performance and dimensional stability, making it a reliable alternative to metal rod in electrically sensitive or aggressive environments.

Commonly used as a non conductive structural rod in electrical assemblies, insulation systems and equipment supports where metallic components would introduce conductivity or interference risks. The rod performs well as a spacer, pin or reinforcing element within control panels, switchgear and cable management assemblies.

Frequently specified for marine, coastal and outdoor installations including boat fittings, framework bracing and exposed mechanical components where resistance to saltwater, humidity and UV exposure is critical. Its solid construction delivers dependable performance without the corrosion or surface degradation associated with steel or aluminium.

Also suitable for fabrication, fencing systems, agricultural equipment, lightweight mechanical assemblies and bespoke engineering projects where ease of machining and maintenance free service life are required. The rod can be cut, drilled and machined using standard workshop tools without specialist equipment.
